It has been a while since I have updated this blog. The most recent was last month about another blackface issue.
While I was still active in the Kpop fandom, I chose not to talk about racism.
Yes, I’m still writing for YGworld, was an admin for YGBB as well as getting involved in other yg related activities; I just do not consider those involved in kpop fandom to be allies.
Kpop fandom reject education (nonsensical things) or make it about them (I”m not a racist so why is it my fault). Apparently, privilege means you’re completely helpless and unable to use google.
Confused? Let Jay Smooth break it down for you

To the owner of this website,
I’m not sure if you are still updating this blog, but I’m still writing to you anyway.
First of all, I agree with you about the “racism” in YG’s attitude. Yes, I agree that no one should use the N word, for any purpose.
I also hope that YG will take this into consideration and never repeat these things.
However, I don’t agree with the fact that you are forcing YG to apologize. Why?- you ask. Because in my opinion, the moment YG start apologizing, everything will become a mess and there will be “real” problems.
A YG Lover yourself (I guess), I think you must have heard about the things that G-Dragon have encountered with his “Plagiarism” issue (which, as we all know, is totally fake) and his “18+ concert” issue. Netizens, anti-fans and media (who crave money and attention) left no way out for GD and YG in their news, their comments and their opinions. Even in this July (or August), when everything had been solved completely, GD was once again blamed unreasonably for another group’s “sex scenes” in their concerts; some antis even ask him to be killed. And that’s just one example of how crazy Korean fans can become (I hope you won’t say that this is stereotype). Just imagine, if YG send fans an apologizy about this problems, how much of a mess will it make.
First of all, Korea is not America, where, I suppose, racism is prohibited.
Second, Korea is not America, where people have the full rights to free speech.
Idk, but media and antis may view such apology as a slap in their face, because *that* idea of African-American is what they always have. And I, as a fan, will not want YG to deal with any unnecessary uproar. (Why do I call this unnecessary? I think it is, in Korea). And I don’t want to wake up some day and read some news about killing any other members of YG.
Call me crazy about this idea of the reaction of people, but that’s how I view a portion of Korean fans/antis and media.
P/S: Because YG is, afterall, a Korean group, I’m trying to have my points of view fit for Korea.
Yet, I agree with you that these things will hamper their *possible* success in the States.

If you read further back, YG already apologize. He claimed it was a “misunderstanding”. That apology was not sincere because he made another racism mistake regarding Taeyang.
You really need to read the rest of the blog and learn about the racism in Korea. Yes, Korea is not America however people of Korea cannot claimed ignorance whatever racism is abound.
